Install Lainux Cyber theme for KDE Plasma 6

Quick Install

Clone and run the installer script. It will automatically detect your hardware and install all theme components.

Install theme
git clone https://github.com/codewithevilxd/lainux-cyber-theme.git
cd lainux-cyber-theme
./install.sh

What the installer does:

  • Detects your Linux distribution
  • Verifies dependencies
  • Auto-detects hardware sensors (CPU, GPU, network)
  • Installs all theme components
  • Downloads Bibata-Modern-Ice cursor
  • Applies theme to Plasma
  • Configures icon folder colors

SDDM Login Theme (Manual)

SDDM themes require root privileges. After running install.sh, manually install the login theme:

Install SDDM theme
sudo cp -r sddm/LainuxCyber /usr/share/sddm/themes/
sudo mkdir -p /etc/sddm.conf.d
sudo tee /etc/sddm.conf.d/theme.conf << 'EOF'

Plymouth Boot Splash (Optional)

Plymouth displays before SDDM during boot. Requires root and initramfs rebuild.

Troubleshooting

Theme not applying

Clear Plasma cache and restart if theme changes don't appear:

rm -rf ~/.cache/plasma* ~/.cache/ksvg*
kquitapp6 plasmashell && kstart plasmashell

Conky not starting

Check for errors and verify sensors:

conky -c ~/.config/conky/lainux.conf
ls /sys/class/hwmon/*/name

HiDPI Display Configuration

For high-DPI displays (>150 DPI), configure SDDM:

sudo mkdir -p /etc/sddm.conf.d
sudo tee /etc/sddm.conf.d/hidpi.conf << 'EOF'
